I just love love love when clients suggest new and interesting locations for their session! This beautiful family recently introduced me to a very new location here in Orange County called the Anaheim Packing House. The building is a historic former site of the Sunkist packing plant, hence the name Packing House. Inside it is absolutely AH-mazing with a great mix of history and modern eclectic decor that leaves you guessing what they will come up with next. The ginormous skylight is the centerpiece of the vibrant, bustling food scene, with pop-up type restaurants occupying every nook and cranny. My favs – chicken and waffles from the Iron Press, and frozen yogurt popsicles from Popbar!
I was thrilled to check out this new location for them and get the low-down on setting up a photo session there. As with a lot of private property venues in Orange County, a permit was required, but the PR office made obtaining one a breeze. Better yet, they schedule photo sessions before their open hours, meaning we had the place to ourselves! That definitely made capturing this adorable little guy’s 1st birthday and family photos much easier, without the distractions of a crowd of people to watch stroll by.
