I am still wrapping my head around the logistics of shooting Fall family photos in Arizona when it is still 110 degrees outside at the end of September! We have our own personal Indian Summer every. single. year. Before we relocated from California, I could be on the beach with families all summer, even dare I say in sweaters (gasp!) but not here, no here in the Valley of the Sun we are still shakin’and bakin’ until November!
And yet, we brave the heat to make some magic happen! This little doll was turning one and time waits for no one, so a September shoot to celebrate her first birthday it would be! Mom pulled together the most gorgeous little dress and matching flower crown, and that balloon <3 Ah! Add in a little perfect light, the beautiful backdrop of the Tumbleweed Ranch historic buildings, and it was an awesome night.
Don’t be afraid to get your family photos done early, just because it’s a little hot out! Once that sun starts to hit the horizon, it becomes downright comfortable. Or maybe I’m finally starting to acclimate to this crazy weather we traded in cool and 70 degrees all year for!
