Sunrise Fall Family Photos at Veteran’s Oasis Park
We all know that sunset is usually the rockstar of Fall family photos, but did you know that sunrise is equally as beautiful? I am totally in love with the amazing sunrise light we got during this family session at Veteran’s Oasis Park in Chandler this week. So pretty!! Veteran’s Oasis Park is the perfect mix of settings all rolled into one easily accessible location. Big gorgeous weepy trees, several variety of cacti, a huge lake, tall grass and a hidden fruit tree orchard. Take your pick!
One of the many awesome things I am learning about Arizona, is that since we don’t do the whole “Fall Back” daylight savings time thing, we can actually shoot at sunrise and its a reasonable(ish) hour! By the end of November, sunrise in Gilbert is not until 7:15am, easy peasy (said no mother ever on picture day, but I digress). This allows me to squeeze in a few more last minute clients and still give you beautiful golden light, even if my sunsets are all booked! It also means substantially cooler weather so you can totally rock those boots and sweaters and pretend that Fall is real when it is 60 degrees at 7am (even if it will be 90 by 3!). These sweet kiddos weren’t too sure about the idea of shooting in the early morning though, so they brought along their teddy bears for their session. ❤️ Is that not adorable? I think every early morning session needs teddy bears, go ahead, bring yours!
