Meet Teri. You would never know that this amazing mother of 3 has been battling cancer for just shy of 10 years. I was so lucky to get to spend an hour with Teri and her family this month as a Magic Hour Foundation volunteer, and I was just enamored with her fun and positive spirit. As we trudged around Huntington Central Park one afternoon, at magic hour of course, she told me a little bit about her battle. With her youngest a 14 year old about to enter high school, and her oldest in his 20’s, I could not believe Teri’s family had never taken professional portraits together. We changed that! They now have some beautiful images to hang on their walls and precious memories to hold always. People like Teri are the reason that I devote a portion of my time, my skills, and my heart to volunteering, as they remind what is really important in life and inspire me every day. Thank you, Teri, and I wish you many many happy beautiful years to come!
